BLX continually strives to adjust to meet the needs and overcome the obstacles presented by the natural gas industry. Under the direction of founder, President and CEO Stan Berdell, BLX addresses these needs through Stan’s involvement as a board member of the Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association (PIOGA). Aside from being on the informational forefront of industry changes, PIOGA offers an excellent network of industry and political leaders to provide a voice for the independent operators within the industry. In testimony to the industry transformation from drilling and producing conventional wells to unconventional wells, BLX became the first independent producer of its size to drill and produce a Marcellus shale well in western Pennsylvania.

Our Growth

BLX, Inc. was the first independent producer of our size to drill and produce a Marcellus Shale well in Western Pennsylvania.
